Son of ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star Farrah Fawcett accused of homophobic assault

Redmond O'Neal was arrested after a four-day crime spree including attempted murder

The son of Charlie’s Angels star Farrah Fawcett has been arrested and accused of beating a man in a homophobic attack.

Ken Fox was on his way to a laundromat when he claims Redmond O’Neal approached him wearing a hoodie and carrying a bottle and after calling him a ‘f****t’, O’Neal hit him in the nose with the bottle.

O’Neal then stood over him and taunted him with slurs while punching him and threatening to hit him with the bottle again.

Speaking at a press conference, Fox said: “I felt trapped, like a wounded animal. I literally thought I was going to die.

“All I could do was scream until he just walked away.”

Fox suffered from multiple injuries including a broken nose and has seen doctors and mental health professionals to recover from the attack.

O’Neal was arrested following a four-day crime spree which included attempted murder and possession of meth.

He is currently undergoing psychological evaluations to see whether he is competent to stand trial, but Fox believes he knew what he was doing.

He said: “In my opinion he is competent enough to know exactly what he was doing.

“He wanted to hurt an old, weak, defenceless gay man. He wanted to hurt me. And he did hurt me.

“I need to do what I can to ensure that this man never hurts another defenceless f****t again.”

In May, when he was arrested, O’Neal claimed his behaviour was because of his rich and famous parents.

He said: “The pressure that came with that set off a time-bomb in my head. I never asked for any of this, I never wanted any attention.”
