Russian politicians debate whether these images of a tiger and goat promote homosexuality

By Samuel McManus

Russian politicians are currently debating whether or not these images of a tiger and a goat are promoting homosexuality.

The commotion has been caused by Timur (that’s the goat), who was placed in the pen of Siberian tiger Cupid as lunch. But instead of eating the goat, Cupid shocked zookeepers by befriending him and sending the blossoming relationship viral, reports Pink News.

Russian lawyer Alexei Krestianov has said that media coverage of the animals’ friendship could turn Russian children gay and claims that the relationship is breaking the law.

Krestianov states that the “non-natural habitation” of the friends can cause “an intrusion into the private lives of underage citizens and covert gay propaganda, as well as an active imposition of homosexuality.”

But maybe politicians won’t have to debate too much as the friendship is now apparently over following Cupid recently biting Timur after he head butted the tiger.

Looks like Cumur, our favourite animal ship, is over 🙁
