Openly gay actor, Sean Maher, reveals he married longtime partner on Twitter

Openly gay actor, Sean Maher, took to twitter to reveal he is now a married man.

Known for his role as Simon Tam in the sci-fi television show, Firefly, Maher has married his longtime partner Paul. The two have reportedly been together since 2006 and have a daughter named Sophia Rose, 10, and a son, Liam Xavier, 6.

Writing to his Twitter fans, Maher said “I sit here and Tweet. check my profile. Still pretty much the same.”

“Oh… but I change ‘Partner’ to ‘Husband’.”

The tweet was met positively with fans congratulating him and his partner.

Maher has currently been voicing characters in an animated series of Batman while taking part in online web-series, EastSiders.
