Nick Grimshaw has put his name in the ring to replace James Corden as the host of the Brit Awards in 2015.

The Radio 1 Breakfast Show host said he would “love” the chance to front the prestigious awards ceremony.

Speaking to Digital Spy at the Elle Awards last night (February 18), he said: “I think it’s big shoes to fill because James Corden’s very, very good at it. But yeah, I’d love to do it.”

Actor and comic Corden will present tonight’s ceremony, his fifth consecutive year on the Brits, making him the longest-serving presenter of the awards.

Katy Perry, Arctic Monkeys, Disclosure, Lorde and Ellie Goulding are among those taking to the stage to perform at tonight’s event at The O2 in London.

The 2014 Brit Awards will air live on ITV at 8pm.
