Marc Jacobs surprised his boyfriend Charly Defrancesco with a flashmob before getting down on one knee.
The fashion designer – who split from porn star Harry Louis back in 2013 – proposed to his boyfriend of two years on Thursday (April 5) and organised a flashmob to surprise his now-fiance while dining in a branch of the Mexican restaurant Chipotle.
Jacobs posted a video on his official Instagram account and wrote: “And this happened… “Charly Defrancesco will you marry me”? #flashmobatchipotle #moves
“THANK YOU everyone for making this happen video @plural_nyc @laurengerrie @seandon212 @1.800.newbold And to my Ride or Die fiance @chardefrancesco I LOVE YOU [sic]”
The flashmob serenaded the couple – who have been together for two years – with a rendition of Prince’s song Kiss and both Jacobs and Defrancesco can be seen wiping tears away from their eyes.
The video ends with the couple having a kiss, following by a round of applause for the falshmob.
Defrancesco – who is an underwear model, entrepreneur and Sense8 actor – also took to Instagram, and while posting the same video, wrote: “GET READY FOR THE ALL TIME GAG!!!!!

On Sunday (08.04.18), Jacobs recently celebrated his 55th birthday and his fiance organised a surprise party to celebrate the milestone.
The fashion designer took to Instagram and wrote: “Okay, sooooo this was without a doubt the sneakiest, most wonderful (and worlds greatest) surprise birthday party EVER!!
“I am still in total SHOCK! My incredible fiance @chardefrancesco orchestrated a Mudd Club inspired extravaganza of an evening in honor of my 55th Birthday.
“In order to get me to the SubMercer (where the party was held), he devised a brilliant, twisted plot which unbeknownst to me had me in on planning a surprise dinner with his best friend Jason.
“Iwas responsible for getting Charly to the Mercer for a dinner in his honor with 10 of his closest friends, parents, etc… only to walk into this incredible surprise party for ME!!
“I’ll be posting lots of photos and giving more details over the days to come! WOW! [sic]”
