Jaden Smith to star as young Kanye West in new TV series ‘Omniverse’

Jaden Smith will star as a young Kanye West in a new TV series produced by the rapper.
According to Variety, Smith – who said back in 2016 that he ‘doesn’t get’ gender norms – has landed a role in the upcoming Showtime series titled Omniverse, which will be executive produced by West.
The series is a limited half-hour anthology series – with Smith taking on the role of a young Kanye – and explores the many doors of perception and the first season will explore the Ego through and alternative reality.
Lee Sung-Jin has been attached to write the script for the upcoming series.
In 2016, Kanye defended being a Donald Trump supporter and argued that it doesn’t mean he does not support same-sex marriage.
He also ranted about being discriminated against in the fashion industry because he is not gay.
