Jack Black to Oz PM: ‘Who cares what gives you a boner?’

By Attitude Magazine

American comedian Jack Black has slammed Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott for his “stone age” views around gay marriage.

Earlier this week, Attitude reported that Abbott headed a special Party room meeting lasting some six hours, which led to the Coalition ruling out any opportunity for a free vote on marriage equality reforms. He has since warned that any MPs who refuse to tow the party line will be sacked or relegated to the backbenches of parliament.

The School of Rock star hit back at the Coalition leader during an interview on Australian breakfast radio.

“I personally think the guy [Abbott] is living in the stone ages if he’s not seeing the writing on the wall,” said Black.

“The movement of the world is heading towards equality for all people, all sexual preferences.

“We’re all the same in the end, who cares what gives you a boner?”

When also told of Abbott’s raw onion-eating stunt, Black added that “yeah, he sounds like a bit of a nutter.”

Black is currently starring in HBO comedy The Brink.
