Hackers spam ISIS accounts with gay porn and rainbows in response to Orlando shooting

By Umar Sarwar

In the wake of the Orlando shooting, a member of the hacking group Anonymous has hacked into pro-ISIS social media accounts to spam followers with pro-gay slogans, pictures and even links to gay porn.

Gunman Omar Mateen killed 49 people on Sunday (June 12) when he opened fire on crowds at Pulse club before later calling police to pledge his allegiance to the Islamic extremist group.

A hacker named WauchulaGhost, along with two accomplices, Ebony and Yeti, have been breaking into ISIS-affiliated Twitter acounts for the past month, but say they decided to change their tactics in the wake of the atrocity.

The three hackers have changed user names, tweeted and posted pictures to read statements like “I’m gay and proud” and “Out and proud.” On some accounts they have even tweeted links to gay pornography.

WauchulaGhost said: “I did it for the lives lost in Orlando”, adding: “One thing I do want to say is we aren’t using graphic porn and our purpose is not to offend Muslims.

“Our actions are directed at Jihadist extremists.”
