Former Uruguay diplomat admits to stabbing LGBT rights campaigner
Enrique Facelli pleaded guilty to manslaughter after Julian Aubrey was found dead in his home

A former Uruguay diplomat has admitted to stabbing an LGBT rights campaigner following a neighbour dispute.
Enrique Facelli, 49, stabbed Julian Aubrey at his home in London last October in what has been described as a “long-standing” neighbour dispute, ITV reported.
Police were called to the flat following reports of a man found with multiple stab wounds and Aubrey was pronounced dead at the scene from his wounds.

Aubrey was formerly co-chairman of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea LGBT liaison group.
He was recognised by the Princess Royal for his work counselling victims of sexual abuse.
Facelli was originally due to face trial for Aubrey’s murder but at a hearing he pleaded guilty to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility.
Prosecutor Tom Little QC believes the Crown accepted the lesser charge following two psychiatric reports.
