Fitness trainer posts homophobic rant, says it was to stop gays flirting with him

A South African personal trainer has said he only posted a vicious homophobic rant on his Facebook page so gay men would stop flirting with him.
A simple “no thanks, I’m straight” probably would have done the job but whatever.
Jerome Michael Nayanan called gays “sexually sick perverts” and blamed them for the spread of HIV; an attack he said came as a response to someone posting his pictures and contact details on a gay dating site without his permission.
He told IOL: “Out of frustration, I posted nasty words on my Facebook account hoping that it would stop them calling me. It was becoming annoying.
“I know it was harsh but it was a strategy for me to get rid of the gay people who had been calling me. I have nothing against homosexuals and I apologise for my actions.”
His Facebook page has now been deactivated, but it is alleged that he boasted about citing anti-gay verses from the bible to gay men who contacted him, and said he understood why the community is blamed with the spread of HIV.
