A police statement reads that Miller was arrested for second-degree assault after an incident at a residence in Pāhoa.

Officers responded to reports of an assault at a private party in the Leilani Estates subdivision in lower Puna.

The actor is said to have become “irate” after being asked to leave and is reported to have thrown a chair that hit a 26-year-old woman causing a half-inch cut on her forehead.

She is said to have refused treatment.

Miller was arrested at 1.30am at a nearby traffic stop. They were later released from custody pending further investigation.

Police say it remains an active investigation.

According to The Guardian, arraignments for those charges and a separate traffic case were meant to be made on Tuesday

The paper reports that Miller’s attorney, Francis Alcain, requested that Tuesday’s hearing, previously scheduled for next week, be moved up, because of “various time-sensitive work obligations in California and/or New York”.

Rolling Stone has reported that Warner Bros and DC have decided to put projects featuring the actor on hold following the March arrest.

The Attitude May/June issue featuring the cast of Heartstopper is out now.
