Adele breaks down as she dedicates show to Orlando victims

By Fabio Crispim

Adele broke down in tears on stage last night (June 12) when she paid tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting.

The attack by 29-year-old Omar Mateen on Pulse club in Orlando in the early hours of Sunday (June 12) has left at least 50 dead and a further 53 injured.

Adele was performing in Belgium as part of her ‘Adele Live 2016’ tour and after opening the show with ‘Hello’ and ‘Hometown Glory’, she spoke to the crowd saying, “I’d like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everybody in Orlando, and at Pulse nightclub last night.”

The singer quickly choked up on stage as she continued: “The LGBTQIA community… they’re like my soulmates, since I was really young, so I’m really moved by it.”

She added: “I don’t know why I’m crying already, because most of this tonight is pretty miserable because my songs are f*cking miserable,” she joked.
