Will & Grace‘s Sean Hayes has paid tribute to his late co-star Leslie Jordan following the actor’s sudden death at the age of 67.

Hayes, who starred in the hit NBC sitcom opposite Jordan between 1998-2006 and again from 2017-2020, wrote on Twitter on Monday (24 October) after news of Jordan’s death broke that his heart was “broken”.

TMZ reports that Jordan is suspected to have suffered a medical emergency before crashing his car into the side of a building in Hollywood on Monday.

Sharing a picture of himself on set with Jordan on Twitter, Hayes wrote: “My heart is broken”.

The 52-year-old continued: “Leslie Jordan was one of the funniest people I ever had the pleasure of working with. Everyone who ever met him, loved him.

“There will never be anyone like him. A unique talent with an enormous, caring heart.”

The actor ended his tribute with the words: “You will be missed, my dear friend.”

Jordan was perhaps best known for his scene-stealing guest role as Beverly Leslie in gay TV classic Will & Grace, for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series in 2006.

The actor made regular appearances as fan favourite Beverly during Will & Grace‘s original eight-season run before reprising the role for the show’s revival series which ran from 2017-2020.
