Actor Lukas Gage revealed that he still has sex with women, explaining that he considers himself “10% straight”, but says he can’t be in an emotional relationship with women.
On the In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele podcast last week (21 November), The White Lotus star joked that the gayest thing he had done was marry Chris Appleton on TV, though he wouldn’t consider himself a gold-star gay.
“I’m pretty fucking gay. I got married to a guy on TV – like, I don’t know how much more gay I can get,” Gage said, recalling a conversation with a radio host who asked him about his sexuality.

The pair went public with their relationship in early 2023 and tied the knot that April on season four of The Kardashians. They separated just six months later.
“I’m not gold star,” Gage added when asked if he was a gold-star gay. He continued, “I’m like 10% straight or 10% bi.”
Host Thiele asked, “Have you hooked up with a girl?” Gage replied: “Multiple. Many. Still do every once in a while.”

“You can get hard?” the host asked, surprised. “Yeah,” Gage confirmed. Since his and Appleton’s divorce in June 2024 Gage has not publicly dated anyone.
He explained: “But I emotionally can’t – there’s something that disconnects. That was probably why I was such a horrible boyfriend to all the girlfriends until I was like 20.”
He admitted that getting married to the celebrity hairstylist on The Kardashians reality show is the “gayest thing about me”.
In a May 2025 interview with People, Gage said he is now focusing on “loving myself right now,” adding that he is working on self-improvement through meditating and journaling.
Gage is currently promoting his memoir I Wrote This for Attention, where he opens up about being molested in his childhood, his “broken family”, and sexually transmitted infections.

Speaking exclusively to Attitude about his writing, he said: “This book is about being seen and being validated.”
On his sexuality in Hollywood, he added: “I have resistance to people forcing an agenda on someone. Everyone deserves to do it on their own time. We should have a little bit of empathy and grace and let them do it on their time.”
