Did Surf Laundry mean to make this tweet so filthy?

By Will Stroude

One thing’s for sure: this is the most interest we’ve ever shown in a laundry detergent.

Surf Laundry’s Twitter feed drew some snickers yesterday after posting a really quite filthy caption alongside a picture of the three ‘Household Heroes’ who are currently fronting their advertising campaigns…

Referencing Sir-Mix-A-Lot’s classic anthem I Like Big Butts, the company turned the song into a supposedly “#cleantune” by replacing the word ‘butts’ with ‘load’, which funnily enough had the complete opposite effect.

Whether it was simply am ill-timed reference to laundry loads or done knowingly, the post certainly caught the eye of Twitter users, who have so far re-tweeted it more than 100 times.

One thing’s for sure, those boys can handle our delicates any time. Or maybe we just need something to clean our own dirty mind…
