Hudson Williams attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party with his girlfriend, tattoo artist Katelyn Larson, marking their first red carpet appearance together.

The Canadian actor rose to fame after starring in Heated Rivalry, the sports romance drama based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers novels. The series, created by Jacob Tierney, follows rival professional ice hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, played by Williams and Connor Storrie

Williams has largely kept his relationship with Larson out of the public eye.

When did Hudson Williams reveal he was in a relationship?

However, he publicly confirmed he was in a relationship after sharing images of Larson on Instagram Stories on Valentine’s Day.

The post included a collage of photos of the couple and a caption indicating they had been together for several years. In the message, Williams wrote that Larson had been “with me since my 2000 gold Mazda protege smoked and squealed and I had no job”.

Williams discussed the response from fans during a red carpet interview at the Oscars with etalk.

Presenter Tyrone Edwards asked him: “Since you posted your girlfriend on Valentine’s Day… what have the DMs been like?”

“Just to see everyone kind of take her in stride and all the lovely fans supporting her” – Williams on fans’ responses to his girlfriend

Hudson said he “hadn’t even checked his DMs”, before adding: “Just to see everyone kind of take her in stride and all the lovely fans supporting her.

“Even though she’s not trying to be out there or be perceived. She’s always like, ‘I don’t want to be perceived!’”

“They’re still just being really warm, from what I’ve been told, and that’s really nice.”

Speaking in an interview with Deadline, Williams and Storrie previously addressed discussion around their off-screen sexualities, with Williams saying the speculation is “just the nature of celebrity”.

“I think there was never a question for me, when I dreamed of becoming in the public eye, that I would want a level of privacy,” Williams added.
