The new season will see the return of the Fab Five.

By Steve Brown

It’s time to get the tissues out, because the first trailer for Queer Eye season two has just been released.

Our Fab Five of Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Bobby Berk and Karamo Brown will be hitting our (small) screens when the uplifting Netflix makeover series returns on June 15 – and judging from the trailer, it’s set to deliver plenty more of the feels that made the first season such a runaway succes.

The trailer was unveiled on Thursday (June 7) with the caption: “I’m not crying, you’re crying.

“The Fab 5 are back to help a new set of heroes become their fiercest selves. Queer Eye returns June 15, only on Netflix.”

For the first time in the show’s history, the Fab Five will be transforming not just men but also a woman and a trans man.

Queer Eye has quickly become one of the most talked-about shows of 2018, drawing praise for its ‘love yourself’ mantra, sensitive portrayal of LGBT people and its undeniably infectious positivity.

A reboot of the Bravo reality show Queer Eye For the Straight Guy, which aired for five seasons between 2003-07, the series far and away exceeded critics’ initial expectations as it swapped New York City for Southern, conservative Georgia and demanded “acceptance” rather than “tolerance” for its stars.

Queer Eye season 2 launches globally on Netflix June 15, 2018.
