FX has released the first trailer for Ryan Murphy’s new show Pose.

The musical series comes from the creators of American Horror Story, Scream Queens and Glee and is set in the 1980s.

The show looks at ball culture in New York City and examines the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York City along with the rise of Donald Trump and the downtown social and literary scene.

Ball culture refers to the underground subculture in the US where LGBT people competed for trophies and prizes at events called balls.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the drama will make history for featuring the highest number of LGBTQ actors ever in television history as well as the largest cast of transgender actors in regular roles.

Pose will star MJ Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, Hailie Sahar and Angelia Ross who all play transgender characters.

Actors Evan Peters, Kate Mara, James Van Der Beek, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Billy Porter and Dyllon Burnside will also star in the show.

The new trailer features characters discussing ball culture as “a place where you can live out a fantasy.”

While a UK airdate hasn’t been announced yet, Pose will premiere on FX in the US in June.
