Watch: Bjork’s spectacular new music video

Björk has today debuted the music video for Lionsong, a hauntingly beautiful song from her ninth studio album.

The album, Vulnicura, is a heartbreaking examination of Bjork’s break-up with long-term partner Matthew Barney.

Lionsong perfectly captures the essence of uncertain relationships with the lyrics, “Maybe he will come out of this loving me.”

Directors Inez and Vindoodh showcase these feelings with beautiful, pulsating imagery, as Björk wears a simple latex outfit with an ornate headpiece. The sub-title for this song is “5 months before”, referencing the Icelandic singer’s breakup with  Barney.
