One of Madonna’s former producers has appeared to criticise her rumoured duet with Miley Cyrus in a post on Facebook.

Madonna teased the duet with Cyrus earlier this week when she uploaded a picture of song lyrics to Instagram, and tagged Miley Cyrus and singer-songwriter MoZella in the image.

Shep Pettibone, who co-produced the Queen of Pop’s iconic hit Vogue and most of 1992’s Erotica album, posted a link to an article discussing the rumoured duet with the caption: “Oh no”.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus seemed to confirm her duet with the Queen of Pop by posting a picture of herself wearing a Madonna T-shirt on Instagram shortly after Madonna had tagged her in the song lyrics post.

Madonna and Cyrus have collaborated before, when the pair performed a mash-up of We Can’t Stop and Don’t Tell Me at Cyrus’s MTV Unplugged show in January.

Meanwhile, Madonna and MoZella have already worked together on material for the Queen of Pop’s new album – read more here.

Earlier this month (July), Madonna revealed that she has brought in a gospel choir to accompany her on the album – watch the video she uploaded here.

Diplo, Avicii and Ariel Rechtshaid are among the other collaborators Madonna has enlisted for the album, while the Queen of Pop has also sparked rumours that she is working with dance duo Disclosure.
