Todrick Hall has clarified that pop icon Beyoncé was not at his birthday party this week.

Former Attitude cover star Todrick turned 36 on 4 April, and there were multiple reports that ‘Irreplaceable’ singer Bey made a “rare public appearance” (as per Vanity Fair) at the RuPaul’s Drag Race star’s LA soiree.

Other outlets including Mirror Online claimed the same, forcing Todrick – who has choreographed for the star, including on her video ‘Blow’ [below] – to issue a correction today.

“She ain’t coming to my party y’all! Come on!”

“Beyoncé was not at my birthday celebration, but I love Queen Bey so much that I hired the legendary impersonator @miss_shalae to perform and she SLAYED!” Todrick tweeted.

“I have worked with and choreographed for Beyonce and she’s always been kind, but she ain’t coming to my party y’all! Come on!”

He added: “And just to be clear, everyone had to be COVID tested/show vaccination records and be temperature checked to come to the event.”

The confusion came after YouTuber Young Ezee posted on Instagram Stories that Beyoncé  was in attendance.

Clearly, with hindsight, the post was somewhat tongue-in-cheek.

But all credit to Miss Shalae. She must have been pretty convincing for this story to go so far and wide!

Speaking to Attitude, Shalae said: “Honestly, to be mistaken as Beyonce lets me know I am on the right path when it comes to performing. There’s nothing more flattering in the world. I just hope I make the Queen proud!”
