The Wanted star Nathan Sykes joined Jessie J and DJ Cassidy onstage at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball on Saturday (June 21), sparking rumours that he is preparing to launch a solo career.

The Gloucestershire-born singer performed DJ Cassidy’s recent top ten hit Calling All Hearts at London’s Wembley Stadium with the pair, filling in for Robin Thicke, who trades vocals with Jessie J on the recorded version of the track.

Meanwhile, Sykes posed for a picture with Pharrell Williams backstage and shared it on his Twitter later that evening.

The Wanted announced they were going their separate ways earlier this year, and completed their final tour together last month (May). Sykes and his bandmates notched up ten top ten hits during their four-year chart run, including the UK Number Ones All Time Low and Glad You Came.

Last year, Sykes duetted with Ariana Grande, his then girlfriend, on Almost Is Never Enough, a track from her debut album Yours Truly.
