Supermodels throw shade at Chloe Jasmine on ‘Gogglebox’?

By Josh Haggis

Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss seemed to throw shade at X Factor contestant Chloe Jasmine during their appearance on Gogglebox last night (October 17).

The two supermodels appeared alongside Noel Gallagher on a special celebrity edition of the show broadcast as part of Channel 4’s Stand Up 2 Cancer evening – and were seen watching Chloe Jasmine perform a cover of Britney Spears’ Toxic on the first X Factor live show.

Campbell – who mentored the singing hopeful when she was a contestant on Sky1’s modelling show The Face last year – appeared to be unimpressed when she realised who she was watching perform.

Gallagher then suggested that Jasmine was “a bit of a doofus”, to which Campbell responded by saying that the aspiring singer/model “is Downton Abbey“.

Moss then seemed to throw shade at Jasmine, saying: “But she’s not Downton Abbey, though…isn’t she Essex?” which elicited a laugh from Campbell.

During an interview with host Alan Carr after Gogglebox had aired, Campbell dismissed suggestions that she was unimpressed with Jasmine’s performance.

“I was not doing daggers at Chloe! She’s my girl,” the supermodel said. “I was genuinely surprised. I think she’s fantastic. I think shes doing amazing on X Factor. Please don’t throw her off, Mel!”

Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell appeared at the Attitude Awards 2014 earlier this week to present Boy George with an award – watch her speech introducing Boy George here.
