Stellan Skarsgård would love to return for a possible Mamma Mia 3.

The actor played Bill – one of the three potential fathers to Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) – in the 2008 movie musical and reprised his role in last year’s sequel Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.

And the sequel – just like the original – was a commercial success and now Skarsgård has admitted if a third movie happens he wouldn’t need the script to agree to join the movie.

Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: “I wouldn’t have to read the script. If they call, I’ll come.

“I think that the problem is, do they have enough songs; do they have the right songs?”

“Can they come up with a story which doesn’t have to be that plausible, but plausible enough? But if they want to do it, I’ll be there.”

He then went on to say why he loves starring in the movie musical adaptation and said it’s because is not a ‘normal acting job’.

He continued: “It’s such a different thing because you’re not required to do your normal acting job, which is inventing a character, or creating or finding the contradictions within the character.

“You just go there and have fun, and it works!

“I mean, it was ten years between the two [Mamma Mia films], so I will probably appear in an urn in the next one.”
