The acclaimed Netflix comedy series was renewed for a fifth season this week

RuPaul is set to guest star on Netflix’s Grace And Frankie.

The acclaimed comedy was renewed for a fifth season this week, just less than a month after the fourth season premiered on Netflix.

As news of the renewal broke, drag legend RuPaul jokingly tweeted lead actresses Jane Fonda (Grace) and Lily Tomlin (Frankie) and asked them if there was going to be another season of the show.

In response, Fonda said there was and asked the star if he wanted to join. But according to Deadline, it turns out this was the drag legend’s way of revealing he’d already been cast.

In next year’s series, he’s set to play Benjamin Le Day, a character who producers describe as “a formidable and quick-witted adversary who faces off with Grace and Frankie.”

The much-loved show follows two women whose lives are changed forever after their husbands, played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, reveal they’re gay and in love with each other.

Sadly, Grace And Frankie’s fifth season won’t premiere until 2019 so we’ve got a while to wait.
