The singer came out as bisexual after criticism to the new 'bisexual anthem'

Rita Ora shares a passionate kiss with Cardi B in the official video for Girls.

The single features Ora, Cardi B, Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha referencing their sexual fantasies as well as the lines: “Sometimes I just wanna kiss girls, girls, girls” and “I’m open-minded… I’m 50/50, and I’m never gonna hide it.”.

And in the music video, which was dropped last night (June 6), the four singers ooze sex appeal in the steamy girl-centric video and Ora is seen to be seduced by Cardi and the two embrace in a kiss.

However, when the song was released last month, Ora was criticised by a number of LGBT+ musicians criticised the song with Hayley Kiyoko claiming the song song “does more harm than good for the LGBTQ+ community”.

The release of the song made Ora and Cardi B both come out as bisexual revealing they have had relationships with a number of women.

In her apology, Ora said: “Hello everyone reading this. Girls was written to represent my truth and is an accurate account of a very real and honest experience in my life.

“I have had romantic relationships with women and men through my life and this is my personal journey.

“I am sorry how I expressed myself in my song has hurt anyone. I would never intentionally cause harm to other LGBTQ+ people or anyone.

“Looking forward, I hope that continuing to express myself through my art will empower my fans to feel as proud of themselves as I’m learning to feel about who I am.

“I’m ever thankful to my fans for teaching my to love myself no matter what.

“I have strived to be a contributor to the LGBTQ+ community throughout my entire career and always will be.

Love, Rita.”
