‘No Time to Die’ trailer: James Bond teaser gives first look at ‘first black female 007’

The future is here.

By Will Stroude

The first trailer for No Time to Die has arrived, offering our first look at James Bond’s 25th outing as well as the franchise’s rumoured first black female 007 (Lashana Lynch).

The two-and-a-half minute trailer sees Daniel Craig’s Bond returning to the line of duty as he confronts secrets involving his partner Dr. Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux) and villainous foster brother Blofeld (Christoph Waltz).

There’s also a glimpse of the film’s new antagonist, played by Bohemian Rhapsody’s Rami Malek, who recently revealed he shared a rather passionate kiss with Craig during filming.

As debates about how to bring Ian Fleming’s chauvenistic spy into the 21st century, it’s certainly refreshing to see Lynch’s 00 agent Nomi going toe-to-toe with Bond. Here’s to more of it…

No Time to Die hits cinemas on 2 April. Check out the trailer below:
