Nadine working on new solo album with Girls Aloud producer
By Josh Haggis
Nadine Coyle has revealed that she’s working on a new solo album with Girls Aloud’s producer, Brian Higgins.
The 29-year-old pop singer talks about her relationship with her former bandmates and her future musical plans in an extensive interview in the latest issue of Attitude.
“Brian Higgins and I have done a lot of really great songs together,” the singer says. “We have some great songs; really good songs that you could literally put out next week, and they would be great.”
Coyle, who racked up 20 consecutive top ten hits with Girls Aloud, all produced by Higgins, also discusses the possibility of recording some of the group’s unreleased material for her forthcoming second solo album.
“Yeah I think we could. There’s so many,” she says.
“For each album we recorded about 100 songs, easily. And Brian has an amazing way of pulling different stuff from different eras and different albums and putting things together from different tracks – you record to a bare piece of music and then Brian thickens it up – so you never know what on earth he will have done with your studio time. So yeah, I would love to have something like that.”
