Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has revealed he is expecting his first child with his husband Justin Mikita.

The actor was appearing on Wednesday night’s The Late Late Show with James Corden when he revealed the exciting news that the couple are expecting their first child in July.

Ferguson – who was joined on the sofa with Queer as Folk star Charlie Hunnam – told Corden: “I’m actually expecting a baby in July with my husband.

“I’m very excited but it feels like I’m 44 now, let’s get this show going. Tik tok.”

When asked whether he is having a boy or girl, the TV and Broadway actor replied: “A human.”

The actor announced his engagement to Justin in September of 2012, after dating for two years.

The couple married in New York City on July 20, 2013 with Tony Kushner, a playwright and screenwriter, officiating the wedding.
