Miley Cyrus denies G-A-Y rant was about Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus has denied that remarks she made at G-A-Y last Friday (May 9) were aimed at ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth.
The We Can’t Stop singer performed a raunchy set at the London club night last week, during which she claimed that she wrote UK Number One smash Wrecking Ball as a “f**k you” to a former partner.
“I wrote this song after somebody broke my heart, and I just wanted to say ‘f**k you’,” Cyrus said.
“I wanted to write a number one hit, something that would be on the radio. “I wanted to make sure every time he turned on his radio, he would hear my song and will keep hearing it for the rest of his life.”
Cyrus has since taken to Twitter to clarify that she was not referring to ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth. The couple met on the set of film The Last Song in 2009 and got engaged in 2012 before announcing their split in September last year.
“Just FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y had nothing to do with Liam,” she tweeted.
“I was just tryin to rile up the boys. I don’t usually respond to tabloidy stuff but this isn’t something I want being spread around.
“It sounded hateful but not what I meant… I never want hateful things being said about those I care about… I was just tooooo turnttttt up.”
Miley is currently taking ‘The Bangerz Tour’ around the UK. The show hits Manchester tonight (May 14) before finishing in Belfast next Monday (May 19).
