Meryl Streep almost made an appearance on Will & Grace.
The acclaimed comedy has had numerous guest stars appear on the show including Cher, Kevin Bacon and even Madonna, though she seemed to have some trouble remembering Debra Messing and Eric McCormack’s names.
In an interview with Digital Spy, however, Megan Mullally revealed that acclaimed actress Meryl Streep almost made it onto the show too.
She said: “I wanted Meryl Streep to come on, but now she’s going to do Big Little Lies.
“They tried to get her the first time around, and apparently they almost got her. But she didn’t do it. I’m sure there are people that I can’t think of.”
Eric McCormack, who plays Will in the show, revealed that he wants Justin Trudeau to make an appearance and explained his wild idea.
Explaining his reasons, McCormack said: “Because I’m Canadian, and I think it would be a great plot to have Will have a secret Canadian boyfriend he can’t say.
“Everyone’s like, ‘Why, you don’t have a boyfriend. That’s why. You’re just lying.’ And it’s revealed that it’s Justin.”
He added: “I’m going to keep saying that so that one day Justin reads that and goes, ‘I like that idea!’ and I think he would. I think it might [happen].”
