Marvel could be introducing a new gay character in Captain Marvel 2.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are eagerly anticipating the arrival of out LGBTQ characters in the popular movie franchise.

We already know Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie will be ‘looking for her queen’ in Thor: Love and Thunder and The Eternals movie will feature an openly gay superhero with a husband and a family.

But now it appears the sequel to the Brie Larson starring sequel will be introducing Hulkling into the universe.

Despite having a name similar to Hulk, the character has no connection to Bruce Banner and is instead a Skrull – the race of aliens who played an important part in Captain Marvel – and website We Got This Covered report the character will make an appearance in the new film.

Although the film has not actually been announced, the site reports the openly gay teenage hero – who in the comics is dating Scarlet Witch’s son, Wiccan – will only have a small part in the film.

But it’s speculated that Marvel Studios will be using the sequel as a way to introduce the character, who will likely go on to have a larger role in Young Avengers.
