Mariah Carey has criticised the artwork selection for her new single You Don’t Know What To Do.

The artwork for the single is clearly a slightly modified version of the art for her new album Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse.

Adjustments have been made to the singer’s face and hair, as well as the colour of the sky behind her.

After fans mocked the effort, Mariah quickly reassured them that she had no involvement in the selection.

“That definitely was NOT my selection for the cover… Ugh!” she tweeted. “Yes, I would love for you to send your art for #YDKWTD (’cause at this point IDKWTD! Lol).”

You Don’t Know What To Do will serve as the fourth single from Mariah’s fourteenth album, following #Beautiful, The Art of Letting Go and You’re Mine (Eternal). The album has so far peaked at number three in the US and number 14 in the UK.
