Recent Attitude cover star Louis Smith has won a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow today (June 29).

The 25-year-old was part of the five-man team that secured victory for England in the men’s artistic gymnastics event. His winning teammates were Kristian Thomas, Max Whitlock, Nile Wilson and Sam Oldham.

Scotland’s team finished second to take home silver, followed by Canada’s team in bronze medal position.

This is the second Commonwealth gold medal of Smith’s career, following his victory in the pommel horse event at the 2006 games in Melbourne. He also has three Olympic medals – a silver and two bronzes – to his name.

Smith will now go on to compete for a medal in the men’s pommel horse final on Thursday (July 31).

He posed for the cover of Attitude earlier this summer – click here for a sneak peek at his sexy and athletic cover shoot.

Meanwhile, Smith’s teammate Sam Oldham was given the attitude.co.uk #CommonwealthHotties Picture Special treatment earlier today – check it out here.
