Last ever season of ‘Glee’ may be cut short
By Nick Levine

The final season of Glee may be shorter than originally planned, the chairman of US network Fox has suggested.
Last October one of the show’s creators, Ryan Murphy, announced that Glee‘s sixth season would be its last – and Fox later ordered 22 episodes, the same number as in previous seasons except for the current fifth season, which runs to a slightly shorter 20 episodes.
The sixth season was due to begin in late 2014, and run through early and mid-2015.
However, Fox has since revealed plans to begin airing the sixth season later than first planned, prompting The Hollywood Reporter to ask Fox Chairman Kevin Reilly if the network is intending to shorten the show’s farewell run.
“The order currently is for 22 [episodes], but we’re actually going to sit down with Ryan and really talk about how we’re going to end it and figure that out,” Reilly replied.
“The advantage of having it on later in the season is that we don’t have to feel the pressure of delivering. We can do them in a row. We’re going to sit down and talk about exactly the best way to end the show and how many [episodes] that is.”
Meanwhile, the final episode of season five airs in the US tomorrow night (May 13). In the UK, Glee airs on Sky1.
