Lady Gaga to play Donatella Versace in ‘American Crime Story’

By Fabio Crispim

Rumours have been circulating the net that Lady Gaga will be playing Donatella Versace in the new series of Ryan Murphy’s anthology American Crime Story.

No official announcement has been made as of yet, but sources close to US Weekly have confirmed it’s going to happen, according to Digital Spy.

Murphy is set to tackle the story of Gianni Versace’s murder in 1997 for the shows third season.

Gaga, who just released her fifth studio album Joanne, is currently working with Murphy on the sixth season of American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare after previously winning a Golden Globe for her role as The Countess on the shows sixth season, Hotel.

American Crime Story launched last year and focused on the story of OJ Simpson before portraying the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in season two.

However, it seems we’ll have to wait until 2017 for the Gaga-esque Crime Story season. Until then, watch this space.

Meanwhile, why not take a look at ‘Perfect Illusion’ singer’s appearance on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke to tide yourself over?
