Lady Gaga makes surprise catwalk appearance at New York Fashion Week

By Troy Nankervis

Lady Gaga has walked the runway for Marc Jacobs during New York Fashion Week just days after wowing fans with her epic Bowie tribute at the Grammys.

The 29-year-old was the surprise star attraction during the steampunk-inspired show that included 1920s finger wave hairstyles, smudged eye makeup and lots of black lipstick, reports Vogue.

Transforming the space into a stark white circular runway with stadium seating, Jacob’s Park Avenue Armory show featured a collection of oversized coats, feathers, furs, and striking platform boots.

Joining Gaga on the runway was an almost unrecognisiable Kendell Jenner, with the celebrity guests in the front row including Sandra Bernhard, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Kiernan Shipka, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Emily Ratajkowski, Rachel Feinstein and Debi Mazar.

“I’ve adored @marcjacobs @therealmarcjacobs since I was very young, so I was so honored to be one of his beautiful creatures tonight,” Gaga wrote on Instagram after the show.
