Lady Gaga joins Elton John for surprise gig on the streets of LA

Lady Gaga joined Elton John at the weekend for a free concert in West Hollywood, where the pair performed a cover of Elton’s 1974 classic ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’.
Dressed in a royal blue, military inspired outfit, with sunglasses and heels harking back to her Fame Monster era, Gaga kissed Elton on the cheek as she joined Elton for a surprise duet in the Los Angeles sunshine.
He was giving a concert outside Tower Records on the Sunset Strip, performing classics as well as hits from his new album Wonderful Crazy Night.
Afterwards, Gaga told the gathered audience that Elton was “a wonderful man, who has inspired people for generations,” and thanked him for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
The pair previously performed a mash up of ‘Speechless’ and ‘Your Song’ together at the Grammy Awards in 2010. He also joined her for her 2013 holiday special with The Muppets, on which they performed ‘Benny and the Jets’ and ‘ARTPOP’.
Elton also revealed in January that he’s been giving Gaga advice on her eagerly-anticipated fifth studio album, which he described as “killer.”
‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’ was a popular cut from Elton’s 1974 album Caribou, but it was revived as a global number one hit in 1991, after he released a live duet version of the song with George Michael.
