Lady Gaga and Troye Sivan both feature in the Oscar’s shortlist for Best Original Song.

Gaga – who is likely to land a Best Actress nomination at the film awards – has had a crazy couple of months after her outstanding performance in A Star is Born alongside Bradley Cooper, both of who have been nominated for a Golden Globe.

Now, the singer-turned-actress has been shortlisted for an Academy Award for Best Original Song for the hit song ‘Shallow’ which still continues to be played across the airwaves two months after being released.

‘Shallow’ became a huge hit and placed in the top 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100 earlier this year.

In the list of 15 songs on the shortlist – which will be whittled down to a smaller number ahead of the ceremony in January – also features Troye Sivan’s ‘Revelation’ from the gay conversion therapy film Boy Erased.

The openly gay, former Attitude cover star – who also stars in the film alongside Lucas Hedges – co-wrote the song with musician, vocalist Jonsi and is also up for a Golden Globe.

Not only that but Dolly Parton, yes the legend Dolly Parton, is also featured on the list for ‘Girl in the Movies’ from the new Netflix movie Dumplin’.
