Kylie Minogue’s first four albums are to be reissued, it has been announced.

The Aussie popstar’s albums Kylie (1988), Enjoy Yourself (1989), Rhythm of Love (1990) and Let’s Get To It (1991), produced almost entirely by the Stock Aitken Waterman hitmaking team, have been digitally remastered for their upcoming re-release, reports Music Week.

The reissued albums will include numerous bonus tracks including B-sides and rare mixes, and there will also be deluxe editions available featuring DVDs of her videos and expansive booklets. The albums can be pre-ordered now, and will released on October 27.

Upon its release in 1988, Minogue’s first album, Kylie, became the biggest-selling debut by female artist ever and included two of her signature hits, I Should Be So Lucky and The Locomotion. The subsequent three albums spawned a series of hits including Hand on My Heart, Better the Devil You Know and Step Back in Time.

The reissues are being jointly overseen by Pete Waterman’s PWL and nostalgia specialists Cherry Red Records. Waterman said of the reissues:

“Kylie celebrated 25 years in music a couple of years back, so I went along to see her Anti Tour and to say hello. It was a fantastic night, and hearing her do some of these songs then, tracks she probably hadn’t sung since she was signed to PWL, was magical. It was obvious just how special they are – for Kylie herself, for all of us worked on them, and for the fans in particular, and more so with time. They’ve become genuine classics. Back then, we were making music for the moment, but it’s stood the test of time. That’s something special. And that’s why we’re celebrating with these very special releases. I now know what history means.”

Meanwhile, Kylie is rumoured to be making a return to Aussie soap Neighbours next year to mark the show’s 30th anniversary – click here to find out more.
