Kylie Minogue has officially announced her 15th stuid album Disco, ahead of the release of the record’s lead single ‘Say Something’ this Thursday (23 July).

After reports that the Aussie pop princess’ was set to drop a new single this week began circulating on Tuesday (21 July), and the rumoured artwork for her 15th studio album was leaked online, Kylie took to social media to announce the details herself – including release dates.

“Are you waiting for me to SAY SOMETHING???” Minogue wrote on Instagram.

“My new album DISCO is released November 6th and will be available to pre-order from Thursday morning at 00:01 BST #KylieDisco.”

November might still seem a way off, but the Kylie also confirmed that we’ll be getting our disco fix when the singer’s new single ‘Say Something’ premieres on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday morning (23 July).

“Lovers! New music is ON THE WAY!” Minogue wrote. “SAY SOMETHING is all yours this Thursday.

“The first play is on @bbcradio2 and I’ll be phoning in to chat with the fabulous @zoetheball. Tune in! #SaySomething”

Kylie, whose last album, the country-inspired Golden, was released in 2018, previously teased that her new record would see a return to her dancefloor roots.

“[It’s] difficult even for me to explain,” the singer told GQ back in May. “But even grown-ups need some pure pop fun.

“I loved disco as an eight-year-old, so it’s been a long love affair,” she continued. “I’m loving the modern interpretations of the genre now.”

Meanwhile, Team Attitude recently marked Kylie’s 52nd birthday by counting down her top 10 greatest singles – and it wasn’t easy. Click here to find out which hit made the top spot.
