Kris Humphries apologises for “vague” Bruce Jenner tweet

By Ryan Love

Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband Kris Humphries has attempted to clarify a remark he made on Twitter referencing Bruce Jenner’s television announcement.

The former Olympian came out as transgender in a highly-praised interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, watched by 20 million people in America on Friday (April 24) night.

While many Hollywood stars tweeted their support for Jenner, Humphries wrote: “Man, I’m glad I got out when I did. #Gottadoyou (sic)”.

Kim filed for divorce from the professional basketball star after just 72 days of marriage in 2011. Their divorce was finalised in 2013.

Humphries comment was widely criticised, prompting the 30-year-old to return to Twitter in an attempt co clarify it’s meaning.

“I have and always will support Bruce hence #Gottadoyou. Now recognize I was too vague and sincerely apologize for the way this came across,” he wrote.

In a second tweet he simply wrote: “#FullySupportBruce”.
