Reality TV legend Kim Woodburn has died following a ‘short illness’ her family has announced.
Woodburn rose to fame in the 2000s as the star of Channel 4’s How Clean Is Your House alongside Aggie MacKenzie. She went on to make memorable appearances as a contestant on reality shows like I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! and Celebrity Big Brother, beloved by viewers for her fiery personality and explosive arguments with other participants.
In recent times, Woodburn made a living selling personalised videos for fans on social media, however earlier this year on 2 March she shared a post explaining that she would not be recording any videos for the foreseeable future due to health reasons.
“No more videos for now, my loves, I need to get better!” the post’s caption read. An image elaborated, saying: “We regret to tell you that Kim is unable to record any further videos for the foreseeable future due to a health problem. Kim sends her love to you all.”
It is not known at this time exactly what illness Woodburn was suffering from.
“It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness,” a statement from Woodburn’s family reads.
“Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. We kindly ask that Kim’s husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. We will not be releasing any further details.”
The TV personality’s husband Peter, 79, shared a further message on Instagram, via Woodburn’s account this morning, which featured a slideshow of images from across her entire life, from childhood to present day.
The caption read: “My wonderful, beautiful, Kim passed away last night. God bless, my love, xx xx.”
A number of reality TV personalities have shared their condolences beneath the post, including Drag Race UK stat Blu Hydrangea and Big Brother winner Jordan Sangha.
