Killing Eve season three UK premiere date announced
The hit cat-and-mouse thriller is getting bumped up the BBC’s schedules amidst the coronavirus lockdown

If all this time in lockdown means you’re already up-to-date with all your favourite TV shows, then the decision to bring Killing Eve’s season three UK premiere date forward is probably the good news you need to hear today.
The dark comedy-thriller series has been one of the BBC’s biggest ratings and awards successes of recent years, starring Jodie Comer as Russian assassin Villanelle and Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri, a British intelligence agent trying to track her down.
Previous seasons of Killing Eve have been aired in the US months before UK viewers have been able to watch it, but for the new season, episodes will arrive on the BBC’s iPlayer at 6am each week from Monday 13 April, just a day after their stateside premiere.
They’ll also be shown on BBC One every Sunday at 9pm, from 19 April.
The new episodes will pick up where the season two finale left off: Eve with a bullet in her back after rejecting Villanelle’s suggestion that they walk off into the sunset together.
But a BBC statement teases that the two are “now trying desperately to live their lives without each other”.
It continues: “For Villanelle, the assassin without a job, Eve is dead. As for Eve, the ex-MI6 operative is hiding in plain sight, hoping that Villanelle will never find her.
“All seems fine until a shocking death sets them on a collision course yet again. The journey back to each other will cost both of them friends, family and allegiances.
“And perhaps a share of their souls.”
Season three also sees the addition of cast members including Dame Harriet Walter (Succession), Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones) and Steve Pemberton (Inside No. 9).
