Kickstarter campaign started for ‘Skins’ star’s male prostitute film

The producers of gay-themed film Retake have started Kickstarter campaign to help fund the project.

The film – written and directed by Nick Corporon – is set to star former Skins actor Luke Pasqualino as a male prostitute who is hired by a middle-aged gay man to accompany him on a trip to the Grand Canyon.

“It’s still tremendously difficult getting queer-specific movies financed,” say the filmmakers on the project’s Kickstarter. “If this movie was about a man and a woman in a heterosexual relationship, it would be easier to get financing. But that’s not our story, nor is it our characters.”

Retake is a bold, innovative story we feel needs to be told. We’ve created honest, truthful characters that haven’t been seen on screen before, set on our exciting new take on the classic road trip,” they add.
