Judge Rinder given the boot from Strictly Come Dancing

By Will Stroude

Celebrity judge Robert Rinder left the Strictly Come Dancing competition last night, after losing out in the dance-off against BBC Breakfast presenter Ore Oduba and his dance partner Joanne Clifton.

Describing his experience on the show as a “joy,” Rinder thanked the judges and his dance partner Oksana Platero, for helping him “find a passion and a love for dance.”

“I know how difficult it is sometimes to be a judge and you do it with authenticity and enthusiasm and thank you all for your comments,” he said.

“And my last thank you and my most important one, this truly extraordinary person, this teacher who has shown me from somebody who could barely walk to music with no dance experience at all to find a passion and a love for dance and that’s the best kind of teaching.

He added: “You are never too old to try something new and everyone should try dancing, thank you so much.”

Judge Rinder opens up about his Strictly Come Dancing experience and more in Attitude’s January issue, available to download now from pocketmags.com/attitude.

It’s in shops next Wednesday (December 7), and print copies are available to order globally from newsstand.co.uk/attitude.
