John Barrowman and Elaine Paige will be hosting the brand-new edition of All Star Musicals.

The one-night event on ITV sees seven celebrities performing an iconic musical number at the London Palladium and the show previously aired for the first time in 2017 with Freddie Flintoff taking on hosting responsibilities.

Although the cricketer showed his musical abilities and starred in the musical adaptation of Fat Friends: The Musical on the West End, the new revived evening has managed to get two of the most celebrated musical theatre stars around.

Paige – who hosts a BBC Radio 2 show dedicate solely for musical theatre – has starred in a number of musicals including Cats, Chess, Evita, Anything Goes and many more.

In a statement, she said: “All Star Musicals is the perfect opportunity for me to channel two of my greatest passions – musical theatre and mentoring.

“I’m looking forward to following the celebrities on their journey to performing on London’s most prestigious stage, and of course it’s an added bonus to have a front row seat on the night itself!”

Barrowman has also seen success on the West End, Broadway and TV and film and starred in lead roles in Miss Saigon, The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard and Matador.

“I can’t wait to bring something fabulous to the TV screens, working with new friends and teaming up with some special old friends, this should be a great night of entertainment – let’s make All Star Musicals fabulous.”
