Jamie Dornan has admitted that he doesn’t like his physique, despite previously working as a Calvin Klein underwear model.

The actor – who is set to star in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie adaptation next year – said that he still feels like a “skinny kid”.

He admitted to Interview magazine: “I don’t like my physique. Who does? I was a skinny guy growing up, and I still feel like that same skinny kid.”

However, playing Christian Grey comes with the expectation that he will take his clothes off.

“I’m still auditioning,” he responded. “I don’t really have choices in the material I get. So I have to make the choices in the way I play the characters. And I’m happy to get a chance to play Christian.”

Dornan earned critical acclaim for his turn as serial killer Paul Spector in BBC Two’s The Fall last year. He is currently filming the second series of the crime drama.

Teasing fans about what they can expect from the new episodes, Dornan said: “We’re going to see more of Spector, but in a slightly different light. I can’t say too much more than that.”
