James Blunt wants to represent UK in Eurovision Song Contest and claimed he would win

The You're Beautiful singer is embarrassed with the UK's losing streak

James Blunt wants to represent the UK at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The You’re Beautiful singer has had enough of the UK never winning the popular singing competition after SuRie came third to the bottom during this year’s event.

And now, he is wanting to remedy that by representing the country and insists he is here to “fix” the continuous losing streak the UK has.

He told Publik DELFI: “I guess the thing I’m saddest about is that the UK just – it’s so bad – England never wins and I’m really just waiting for them to call me because I’m here to fix this.”

Blunt was then asked when he would consider singing in the competition and he said: “I think whenever the UK is ready to win Eurovision.”

This year saw Israel’s Netta Barzilai win the coveted titled with her performance of Toy and Blunt admitted he thought the performance was “exciting and different”.

He said: “I thought it was great. I genuinely thought it was exciting and different and full of character and was so relieved it won.”
