Jake Gyllenhaal plays gay in Netflix horror thriller ‘Velvet Buzzsaw’ – WATCH

'Brokeback Mountain' this ain't.

By Will Stroude

Almost 15 years after Brokeback Mountain, Jake Gyllenhaal is playing gay once again – though in a film that falls about as far from a Wyoming ranch romance as it’s possible to get.

New Netflix horror thriller Velvet Buzzsaw sees the 38-year-old actor play an LA art critic who unleashes some super-creepy supernaturual forces after stealing paintings from dead man.

Written and directed by Dan Gilroy, who Gyllenhaal prevously worked with on 2014’s Nightcrawler, Velvet Buzzsaw reportedly guarantees us a non-tent-based JG sex scene – though based on the newly-released trailer, we ain’t counting on a happy ending, if you get our drift.

With screen legends like Rene Russo, Toni Collette and John Malkovich set to co-star, it’s safe to say we’ll be streaming this one when it drops on Netflix on February 1.
